Why M-Panel?

Recruiting respondents for surveys is increasingly costly. The M-Panel addresses this by sharing recruitment costs across multiple research projects. This significantly reduces the cost per completed survey without sacrificing data quality.

M-Panel also includes a dedicated oversample of the state of Michigan, giving researchers the unique ability to analyze both national trends and Michigan-specific findings from the same dataset. This makes M-Panel especially valuable for state-level policy research and comparison.

Overview

M-Panel is a nationally representative online probability panel of U.S. adults, with an oversample of the state of Michigan.

• Target enrollment of 6,750 online participants nationwide, including 1,125 in Michigan.
• Panelists complete a Profile Survey and are invited to complete quarterly Omnibus Surveys.

• Panel recruitment begins Summer 2026.
• Omnibus surveys launch in Fall 2026.
• Panelists receive $20 for enrollment and $15 per Omnibus survey.

What researchers can receive

• Responses from ~3000 respondents
• Clean dataset in the format of your choice (CSV & SAS)
• Data from your contributed questions
• Data from the Profile Survey and sample frame data
• Data and documentation delivered within three weeks

How to participate

• Contribute a minimum of three related survey questions
• Consult with SRO on question format, response categories, and quality control requirements
